Why stop at new tires? Get some wheels too. That way you can keep your old ones and easily swap them back for plowing the driveway.
I love my 589's. Probably not necessary unless you spend as much time looking for mud as I do, and woe to anybody who gets too close behind you on a trail with any kind of loose stuff (rocks, dirt, sticks, etc...) But overall, they are a nice tire.
aren't you the guy who HATES shifting? Be prepared to do a lot more shifting with bigger tires.
Personally, I wouldn't. One of the reasons Hondas are so great is because the engineering that goes into every component of the machine - and everything is chosen for a reason. Your machine is designed specifically for those wheels and you may have some unintended consequences if you change them. Also, I don't think you have enough power - I think you would find that off the line your machine slows down significantly.
Even guys with Grizzlys which would seem to have plenty of power to spare, and even ones that have been boosted with a new pipe - when they get bigger tires, they still have to change the weights in the transmission in order to change the gear ratio.

i'm buying some new front ones too, just in case you needed more peer pressure.
Should I go up a size? I currently have Front - 25x8x12 and Rear - 25x10x12.
