i went to the optometrist today and got myself some new contacts and glasses. A full 88 days before the trip as opposed to the usual 12 days.

Cracking open the boxes the morning of the first ride is just asking for trouble.
the first trial pair she gave me, weren't quite right, the 2nd pair neither. i could see through walls with my left eye.
hopefully three's a charm. my third just arrived. haven't tried them yet though.
